Is Botox safe? How long does it last?
Botox’s been around for years and, when done by someone trained, it’s very safe. Most people see results start to appear in about 3–5 days. You’ll get the full effect after a couple of weeks, and it usually lasts around 3 to 4 months. It wears off gradually — not suddenly — and top-ups help maintain it.
Does microneedling hurt? And how many treatments will I need?
It’s not exactly relaxing, but it’s not painful either. We apply a numbing cream first, so most people feel just a mild scratching sensation. As for how many sessions — it depends on what you're trying to improve. If it’s texture or general glow, 3 to 4 sessions is common. For acne scarring or pigmentation, you might need more spaced out over a few months.
Is laser hair removal permanent? And will it work for my skin type?
Laser gives long-term hair reduction — it won’t get rid of every single hair forever, but it seriously cuts down on growth. Some people stay smooth for months or even longer, and just have the odd top-up. It works best on light skin with dark hair, but newer lasers can treat a much wider range of tones now. We always do a patch test first.
I don’t want to look ‘frozen’ — will Botox still let me look natural?
Totally understandable, and no — you won’t look expressionless. When done properly, Botox softens lines without stopping you from smiling or frowning. Most people just look a bit more rested. We’ll always keep it subtle — it’s your face, not a mask.
What should I do before and after a spray tan?
Beforehand, exfoliate and shave the day before. On the day, skip moisturisers and deodorants. After your tan, don’t shower for at least 6 hours — and wear something loose and dark so it doesn’t rub. Keep your skin moisturised to make the tan last longer and fade evenly.
Will I need time off after microneedling?
Not really — your skin will probably look red for a day or two, and maybe a little tight or tingly. Most people are fine to go about their day. We recommend skipping makeup for 24 hours and staying out of the sun for a few days to give your skin a chance to heal properly.
How much does laser hair removal cost? Is it worth it?
It’s an investment, but over time it often works out cheaper than years of waxing or razors. Pricing depends on the area and number of sessions, but you get smoother skin with way less upkeep. We’re happy to break down the costs and help you decide if it’s right for you.
How quickly will I see results from Botox or microneedling?
With Botox, you’ll probably start noticing a change after a few days, and full results within two weeks. Microneedling is a slower burner — your skin might feel fresher after the first session, but real improvements build up over time, especially after a few treatments.
Can I have these treatments if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Some treatments, like Botox and laser, are best avoided during pregnancy and while breastfeeding — just to be safe. Others, like tanning or microneedling, depend on the situation. We always put your safety first, so we’ll talk everything through before you book.
