In September 2012 we are opening a little Montessori school in the beautiful village hall of Great Barrington, near Burford.We are passionate about early years' education and want to create an environment for our children that is as safe and caring as 'home' but that is also filled with interesting, stimulating & fun learning activities that they might not otherwise have access to. Our large classroom is fully stocked with Montessori materials and we have a lovely & sunny enclosed garden that the children have free access to. Our teaching will be mostly based on the Montessori method but we also like to incorporate the best ideas from other educational theories such as Steiner, Reggio Emilia or outdoor schools. We offer sessional care for children from 2 years, 9 months to 5 years of age from 9:00 to 13:30, 5 days a week during regular term times. All backgrounds & abilities welcome.
