  I come from a family of teachers, all of us interested in adult education. I married a teacher, my daughters teach English and my father was a pioneer dyslexia teacher in the 1970s, so you can see my interest in dyslexia is both personal and long standing. I am a sensitive and empathetic teacher and over the years I have come to realise the considerable courage it takes to acknowledge a reading or spelling difficulty. In many cases school has been such a negative experience that the thought of returning to learning cannot be endured.My Reading Room Learning Studio is situated in a relaxed and comfortable home-based setting. I am also happy to arrange for tuition to take place in a person's own home. Whatever the venue, tuition is always tailored to the needs of the individual with the aim of maximising their potential.
