Write a reviewSt Albans Bach Choir gave its inaugural concert in March 1924 with a performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion We engage soloists and orchestras of the highest calibre but also have a tradition of engaging young singers, many of whom have since developed international careers We have recorded several broadcasts for BBC Radio, and in 2002 we joined the Hertfordshire County Youth Orchestra for a performance of Britten's War Requiem We present a wide variety of music in our concert programmes, whilst continuing to perform the major works in the choral repertoire In keeping with tradition, the Cathedral's Master of the Music, Andrew Lucas, is our Music Director and the Organ Scholar at the Cathedral, Peter Holder, is our accompanist
