PTLLS is the entry level or initial award for those teachers and trainers in the adult learning sector.

The Award has a value of 6 credits and is the first part of the follow on certificate qualification (CTLLS), which “associate” teachers and trainers are required to achieve.

Contact time takes the form of 4 days of workshops and tutorials plus 1 assessment day. These may be run over a frequency to suit clients.

You will gain the knowledge and skills required of the teaching and training role through the following aspects:

·         Examining roles and responsibilities

·         Exploring approaches to teaching and learning

·         Planning learning

·         Facilitating learning

·         Carrying out assessment

·         Managing the learning Environment

You will need to complete one PTLLS assignment. You are required to deliver a minimum 30-minute teaching/training session. This will be delivered in-programme and will be formally assessed.  You will be expected to assign some personal study time.

PTLLS is a pre-requirement for completing CTLLS. The PTLLS award can either be undertaken as part of CTLLS or separately.

The programme is designed to be delivered to groups of 6 or more. The cost is dependent on the group size and includes CIPD registration/certification and learning materials.
