A member of the Register of Professional Turners (RPT) with a recognised teaching qualification (PTLLS), Mark Hancock runs these wood turning course from his well-equipped workshop near Pershore, Worcestershire
Courses can be arranged for all levels of experience from the complete beginner to the more advanced turner with each course specifically designed to meets the student’s needs and requirements.
Those that have turning tools are encouraged to bring these along with samples of work to help highlight areas that may need guidance.
All courses deal with:
• selection and use of tools and equipment,
• selection and conversion of timber
• tool sharpening
• design considerations
• workshop health and safety
These are hands on courses with the student having access to a wealth of information from a turner with over 25 years of experience including working as a tutor at West Dean College and Warwickshire College, for the AWGB and various locations worldwide.
So if you are starting out and wanting sound advice to avoid costly mistakes or wanting to move forward with turning hollow forms and working with green timber etc. this course is available.
