Market Garden Project
Amber Support Services
learning disabilities, Employment Vacancies, Physical Disabilities
Amber Market Garden is a Community Based Project designed to offer work experience and skill development for people with learning disabilities, including horticulture, independent living skills and structured training courses.
Located at The Granary Hotel, it has been set up as a community based Social Enterprise with all of the money raised going back into the project where those who attend decide on how it is going to be spent.
Many of our clients do not have a garden at home, so here they get to experience diverse and exciting activities including permaculture, urban gardening, the growing of fruit and vegetables and bee keeping!
Ultimately everyone hopes that the project will offer real employment to those with a learning disability where they can feel part of and make a real difference to their local community.
