The Forestry Commission is still on-going with a survey of Ancient, Veteran and Notable trees, with over 7000 currently found within .  Many of these trees are between 800 and 1100 years old, making them some of the oldest living beings on the planet. The trees are tagged with a Forestry Commission database number, with some of these trees already being tagged with a previous FC number.  To confuse things further, The Woodland Trust has its own database and numbering system, so Wiltshire Walks is attempting to cross-reference these databases to make researching and finding these trees a far simpler process than it currently is.

Come and join us in searching out these amazing trees, GPS tagging them, and receiving free future updates of the details of these trees!
