A Building Survey, also known as a structural survey is a customised service suitable for all residential properties. This survey is recommended if your property is old, run down, of an unusual construction or if you are planning to carry out a renovation or conversion . The survey can be tailored to your specific needs and both the interior and exterior of the property are inspected. The surveyor will identify any risks, defects or significant damage present. In addition, the surveyor will comment upon the damp proofing, drainage and inspect the insulation. Photographs are included within the survey and there will usually be between 12-15 images of defects and areas of concern. The survey usually takes approximately 3 hours to complete and 6 working days to be sent out to you from the date of inspection.
