Managers, Supervisors and staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. The certificate helps them manage risk effectively. Many people take the NEBOSH Certificate as a first step on a career in health & safety. It provides a valuable overview, and is a sound basis for further professional study.

A NEBOSH Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health – in meeting academic requirements for Technical Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (llRSM) for associate membership.

It covers the main legal requirements for safety in the UK, a range of workplace hazards, and methods of control.

The Certificate syllabus is based on the Employment National Training Organisation (ENTO) standards. These are reviewed regularly to keep up with developments in the workplace and legislation.

Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical assessment.

  • Introduction to Health & Safety

The delegate who successfully completes this course will recieve an accredited NEBOSH certificate for every unit they pass and an additional overall certificate if they pass the full 3 units.

UTN provide each delegate with a buffet on all our full day courses.
