Looking Ahead to ARMO 2015, Nottingham

Following on from the success of ARMO 2013, Francis Ward is looking forward to the next event, in the (only) slightly less sunny location of Nottingham in 2015. This promises to be the most impressive ARMO conference ever, with the organising Committee learning from years of attendance.

The fantastic venue of Nottingham Trent University has been chosen to host both the Conference and the Exhibition, with smaller venue rooms available for hire for business meetings or social events. East Midlands International Airport is just 10 miles away and Birmingham airport only slightly further. London Heathrow airport is only 90 minutes away by train. A small list of local hotels, with budgets to suit all pockets, are all within easy walking distance to the conference venue and have been chosen to keep everyone close together during the conference. Social events will be organised to allow maximum opportunity for networking.

Pricing of the event is being looked at and we hope to be able to price it to attract multiple attendees from companies that might usually only send one delegate. The hope is to attract more American visitors to ARMO 2015 than attended the 2013 conference, which unfortunately clashed with American Thanksgiving weekend.
Nottingham has an amazing history, linked primarily with the legend of Robin Hood, as immortalised by various Hollywood movies. (My favourite is still the Disney cartoon!) and Robin Hood’s tree still stands outside Nottingham. However, Nottingham has more to offer than just Robin Hood.
Nottingham is home to two professional football (soccer) teams and a venue for international cricket matches. In 2013, Nottingham was named Britain’s most haunted city! For those seeking more British and European culture, Nottingham is ideally placed between the cultural heartlands of London (just one hour on the train), Edinburgh and Liverpool (for Beatles fans).
