Pressure care equipment specialists Park House Healthcare are pleased to announce the official launch of their new company website. As technology advances the demand for web-based information increases; this makes it even more important to provide online information that can be accessed quickly and easily via a professional and highly functional company website.
The project began with an initial assessment of our old website and suggested improvements that could help users find exactly what they require in fewer ‘clicks’; this led to a complete redesign of the functionality, navigation and overall look and style of the site.
We worked closely with an established web design agency to ensure we developed the most suitable site for our users. This partnership involved in-depth research covering the preferences and objectives of users through to colour theory and appropriate language, taking into account exactly what is required from a healthcare equipment website.
In busy working environments it is important that users do not have to spend unnecessary time searching for what they need. One key feature of our old website that we wanted to mirror in the design of our new site was its simple navigation and functionality. We have maintained the navigation by product type and have introduced drop down menus to minimise the number of clicks and make searching even easier. The brand new homepage is the now the ‘shop window’ for the entire site allowing access to every section.
Recognising that our users will often have a variety of requirements, we needed to create an online portal whereby users could access an entire library of information specifically to suit their needs. We have introduced a sector specific navigation to the new site that allows users to select and view only the products that are relevant to the sector in which they work, for example Acute Hospitals.
In addition to the enhanced features we have also invested a large amount of time into ensuring the accuracy of the content and quality of the images. All products are now supported by numerous images and comprehensive information, detail that was not available from our old website.
Not forgetting the importance of contact information, we now have a dedicated ‘Sales Regions’ area which incorporates an interactive map of our UK coverage and includes full contact details for each sales region. A ‘call to action’ facility for telephone, email and worldwide enquiries also appears on each page, making one on one contact even simpler.
Working with an established web design agency has enabled us to not only develop a state of the art website, but future proof the site to ensure we remain at the leading edge of online communications. The new site has been designed to enable video embedding and animation, so where appropriate we will look to develop these areas of the site in the near future.
