All fire courses are supported by live fire training on our portable fire rig. It is a statistic that 80% of businesses fail within two years of having a fire. Fire costs business in the UK millions of pounds every year, from damage to property, loss of business, compensation claims, fines and insurance premiums further unemployment and the most distressing of all is the amount of deaths and serious injuries in the workplace. A majority of fires and workplace accidents can be avoided. It is in a companies best interests to protect it’s staff and assets but it is also a legal obligation. In England, Scotland and Wales legislation was introduced in 2006. This legislation states that it is the responsibility of employers to ensure their employees are fully trained in fire awareness issues and must hold a fire risk assessment for the premises.
