National Fitness Day is celebrated on Friday 27th September and we are organising a FREE event for everyone to take part in. At 12pm, the club will join gyms, schools, groups and parties around the UK as they take part in ‘Empower Half Hour’ – 30 minutes of exercise to bring the UK’s focus on fitness and help people kick-start a healthier lifestyle. At this time, we will be running a free 30 minute workout for everyone. In addition we will be running a FREE workout this Thursday for anyone that cant make Friday at 1.00pm. Now in its third year, National Fitness Day UK, in partnership with UK active aims to become the biggest nationally celebrated fitness-focused day of the year. Bal Dhillon said: “This is the perfect time of the year to start thinking about fitness and National Fitness Day gives everyone of all abilities a platform on which start a new and healthier lifestyle. We welcome everyone to join us on this day to be inspired by others and help celebrate fitness across the UK. ”. People are also invited to make donations to support Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity devoted to improving the lives of young people with cancer. Kerry Johns, Mass Participation Events Manager said, “This is a brilliant opportunity for people to get inspired by sport and take steps to improve their fitness. We recognise the importance of wellbeing for body and mind at Teenage Cancer Trust which is why we’re really excited about National Fitness Day to get the nation thinking about their health. ”. Finally if you cant make any of those days but would like to make a contribution we have organised a raffle whereby you could win a 6 week membership with all of the proceeds to Teenage Cancer Research.
