Job Description Field & Lawn is one of the UK's largest marquee hire companies, operating from three depots across the country. We are an energetic and forward thinking company looking for like-minded individuals to join our business. We provide our structures for a huge range of uses including marathons, music and food festivals, sporting events, corporate hospitality and long term storage. We are also heavily involved in the supply and installation of Christmas lighting and city dressing, which includes many of London's best known displays along with a further fifty or so installations in towns and cities across the UK. As the summer season approaches we are looking for event site staff/labourers to boost our teams, working with our full time teams to install our structures. This position would suit fit and energetic individuals who are striving for that little bit extra. Some of the work will require staying away from home - accommodation, meals and overnight allowances are paid for this. Experience You do not need any previous experience but would look for the following attributes: Ability to learn new skills Category B (car licence) To be a team player (which could be in a squad of up to 20 people) Enjoyment of physical work and the outdoors (whatever the weather) Reliability, good humour and flexibility. Miscellaneous Starting pay rate is £7.00 rising to £8.40 after 300hrs. Higher rates of pay would apply for those with previous experience of marquee installations or your ability to drive our vehicles or forklifts. Field and Lawn's Bristol branch provided a large clearspan structure complete with clear PVC to the England Cricket training camp. Prior to the team’s tour to Sri Lanka at the end of 2014, the large structure complete with a bespoke guttering system was built spanning three grass wickets. The dry wickets in combination with the natural light levels achieved through the clear PVC fitted to the roof and walls and the industrial heating units provided the team with perfect training conditions.
