If you are new to the LGV or PCV profession then you will have to undertake initial Driver CPC. This consists of 2 modules. The first module (module 2) is 7 case studies with 6-8 questions on each. This is performed at your local theory test Centre. The pass score must be 38 out of 50 or above. This test is 90 minutes in duration.
Once you have passed the Module 2 Case Study you will need to take the Module 4 Vehicle Checks/Safety Test. This is a practical test and will take place at the local LGV practical Test Centre. This practical test is a show me: tell me type test and consists of 5 topic areas. You must score over 80% throughout the whole test and must attain a score of over 75% in each of the 5 topics. The test is scored out of 20 therefore 15 points is the minimum standard.
