The lock is much more sympathetic than standard shearlocks and especially suited for double action doors that do not always align properly.
We have had these locks fitted in Hospitals for many years where this type of door has always been a problem to lock electronically and they have proven to be a great success.
The DS3000 Lock will pull a door in with a misalignment of up to 10mm.
The lock will release under side pressure making it a genuinely fail-safe device as per the requirements of NFS-61937 .
