The European Crayfish or Langoustine is caught by the boasts at Port Bannatyne and exported directly to Paris, Spain, even America and Japan. They come alive straight into the kiychen of the Russian Tavern and are cooked freshlt to order. This is true too of the variety of fish, scallops, mussels, and razorclams caught in these waters. Besides the seafood the Russian chef cooks a short menu of finely crafted Russian dishes from the munus of The Tsar.
Count Nikolai Tolstoy declared "this is the best Beef Strogonoff I have tasted...EVER!"
Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 said: "...there's this Russian Tavern on the Isle of Bute that serves exquisite beef from highland cattle that have been grazing herbs and seaweed on the beach giving it a unique flavour."
Colin Clydesdale, the famous restauranteur and chef says "The Russian Tavern is something different alright, this is where I eat on my time off."
