Clinical Psychologists aim to reduce distress and improve the psychological wellbeing of the people they work with. They work with individuals of all ages and on a wide range of difficulties including:
•Low mood / depression
•Adjustment to physical illness
•Personal and family relationship issues
Clinical Psychologists also work with individuals with neurological disorders and learning disabilities.
They may undertake a clinical assessment to investigate an individual’s situation. There are a variety of methods available to help them assess their client including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behaviour. Assessment may lead to advice, counselling or therapy. They use approaches, usually treatments that have been shown to be effective in clinical research to make positive changes to people’s lives.
Dr. Lucy Hale, Bruce Holroyd and Dr. Helen Tudor are our practitioners specialising in this therapy.
