News May 2012: we have just purchased in a manual hand pump for priming up AYC pumps after rebuilding.
This allows us to test the solenoids, pipe outlets on the side, accumulator storage bottle, and to pressure test the Sensors before fitting back to the pump.
we have found this is usefull in situations when there isnt a handy 12v around to run up the pump motor under the car, or on a work bench, or if the motor is not working, but the pump still needs flushing out.
It will build up to 25 bar which is more than a pump will normally reach, but it is good for breking the seal in the pressure relife valve if it has not been used for a while and got stuck in.
We also use it when pressureising our re-usable accumulator storage bulbs.
we take it with us when we get asked to the jap importers to check out the condition of their shelves of recently removed/ untested pumps
