This 2 day City & Guilds qualification is a practical and interactive course which will provide the technical knowledge, training skills and course material to design, develop and deliver effective manual handling training.

The course caters for a range of participants such as managers and supervisors intending to conduct in-house training, consultants / trainers providing services to a range of clients, as well as existing providers of manual handling training who want refresher certification The course is suitable for participants from a wide range of backgrounds. Health and safety management experience as well as training qualifications are useful but are not a pre-requisite as participants will be trained in both the technical and the training related issues.

Participants receive a unique manual handling instructor training pack containing a comprehensive course manual, lesson plans, CD containing suggested handler presentations as well as time saving extras such as a test paper, practical assessment sheet and risk assessment form

Open courses are run at locations around the country with the course costing £595 + VAT for the first person £545 + VAT for any additional people from the same company.  If you have 5 or more staff to be trained, an in-house course should be considered. These can be run on your premises to minimise staffing disruption and enable real life scenarios within your workplace to be considered during the training. For in-house events, the course costs £1950 + VAT in addition, to the City & Guilds registration and certification fees of £80 + VAT per person
