Noise at work training
Understanding Noise at Work.
As a requirement of the Noise at work regulations 2005, employers are required to make suitable assessment of the risks to health of employees from exposure to sources of noise in the workplace.
In addition they are required to provide employees with sufficient information, instruction and training to allow them to understand how they are affected and how to work safely in a high noise environment.
Course duration: (2-3 hr short course)
Course objectives: To make delegates aware of the hazards of high noise in work areas.
Course target delegates: Persons exposed to noise in their work environment.
Delegates will gain an understanding of:
How noise affects them and their environment.
How Noise is measured.
Employer and Employee responsibilities in regards to noise.
Noise level action values.
The difference between management control and personal protection.
Types and selection of Hearing protection.
Delegates will complete a multi choice test paper to demonstrate their understanding.
After completion, delegates will receive a certificate of attendance and a noise at work guidance leaflet.
