Whilst Phase I was an ‘introduction’ stage and our knowledge was based on assumptions to interpret the desk study data, at the time of Phase II we will endeavor to obtain detailed information about the potentially contaminated site. Therefore, we will need to plan intrusive investigation that may contain following works:
- Drilling/trial pitting/hand auguring
- Installation/monitoring of wells
- Soil/water sampling
- Chemical testing
- Risk assessment
- Report preparation
- Liaison with Regulatory bodies
If you are planning re-development, your site may also need geotechnical assessment, ground gas investigation, soil infiltration and/or Flood Risk Assessment. It is the best practice to combine these elements to save money on supervision and mobilization costs. We value both time and money and you can be sure that we will design the investigation in the most money/time efficient way.
Our approach will entirely depend on the site characteristics (size, geology, previous/proposed use) and, as sites differ, scope of works, timescale and costs may only be determined upon a site visit and, preferably, findings of the Desk Study. Once we are provided with all the necessary information, we will prepare a proposal. We are ready to match other quotations that you receive.
