If you are reading this you are looking for a supervisor for yourself or your organisation. I offer counselling supervision of counsellors and psychotherapists, including students in training. I am experienced and trained in working with groups, individual counsellors and other mental health professionals. I also offer supervision to professionals who work with complex clients and benefit from discussing casework and issues in a structured format such as social workers, support workers and community workers. Counselling makes considerable demands upon the counsellor and practitioner. Supervision helps to overcome some of the difficulties this creates and enrich personal practice. BACP and COSCA require on-going supervision to ensure ethical work by qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists. Supervision also ensures a duty of care both to the supervisee and their clients and increase the competence and creativity of the therapist. I have had training and experience to support you, and help you to develop your practice. By supporting and reviewing your client work in a safe environment we can explore feelings around your work, how you are managing stress and the support systems which are in place. I can help unpick ethical dilemmas, maintenance of legal practice all within a supportive, containing relationship.
