Ultracrete, market-leading manufacturer of highway maintenance materials, is set to showcase their coverTEC range in Scotland this November.
In a strategic partnership with SSC (Structural Science Compsites) Ltd, Ultracrete have introduced coverTEC – a range of BS EN 124 approved covers. A composite cover, made from an advanced composite structure of glass fibre and resin, makes for a very lightweight, durable and safe alternative to ductile ironwork – and most importantly, has no scrap value.
Also on show will be their brand new Perma-Soil soil stabiliser, an alternative reinstatement material that is the perfect solution for the backfill and reinstatement of small utility excavations. The product will help companies to meet directives as it eliminates the need to haul away materials to landfill sites; saving costs associated with transporting and tipping the spoil. It is simply mixed with the excavated spoil and provides an adequate backfill/sub-base within minutes. Ultracrete Perma-Soil helps to reduce C0 emissions; it reduces the need to quarry aggregate, as well as helping to minimize fuel usage thus reducing pollution levels.
Ultracrete Perma-Soil meets the requirements as set out in the Utility WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) agreement and the SROH (Specification for the Reinstatement for Openings in Highways). It is very versatile and can be used across a range of highway and footpath applications as well as post, fence and utility pole installations.
