PCH Ceramics Ltd. have successfully completed a tiling project at Warwick Boat Club using Ultra Tile ProRapid RS, the brand’s rapid setting adhesive for porcelains and natural stone tiles.
Warwick Boat Club recruited Shaylor Special Projects to manage the refurbishment of their club’s 19 century clubhouse. TTA member, PCH Ceramics Ltd. were commissioned by Shaylor Special Projects to complete the tiling application.
A regular user of Ultra Tile adhesives and grouts, Peter from PCH Ceramics Ltd. chose to use powder adhesive ProRapid RS and FlexJoint grout to fix the 600 x 300 porcelain grey/green tiles throughout the clubhouse’s bar and lounge areas.
Expertly formulated with exceptional bond strength, flexibility and fast setting capabilities, Ultra Tile ProRapid RS was an ideal choice of adhesive for this project.
The adhesive can be applied at a bed thickness of between 3-12mm on walls or floors. Its open time is 40 minutes and it will be set after just 2 hours drying time.
The product is suitable for both wet and dry conditions and is formulated to adhere to most common substrates including screwed and fixed over-boarded wooden floors. It can be used internally or externally.
High polymer content increases the product’s flexibility and ensures its compatibility with under floor heating systems.
Ultra Tile ProRapid RS conforms to the requirements of EN 12004 Class C2FT and is available in 20kg grey or white.
All tiling was grouted using Ultra Tile FlexJoint. The newly improved formula of Ultra Tile FlexJoint grout has been designed with the trade for the trade! The product now boasts the following capabilities:
· Improved super fine texture
· Polymer modified for ultimate flexibility
· Totally mould resistant
· Perfectly water repellent
· Suitable for use with under floor heating
· For joint widths from 1-20mm
FlexJoint is available in a choice of colours to include white, cream, limestone, sandstone, chocolate, grey and anthracite. 3kg and 10kg bags sizes are available. Grey was chosen for use in the clubhouse as it complimented the tiles perfectly providing an opulent finish.
Several tiles required curved specialist cutting, as the interior design included carpet for the final floor covering. Peter’s team handled this with ease and the curved edges have simply added to the final attractive appearance of the room, also separating seating areas from the walkways.
