Our Civil Engineering Department provides a
comprehensive service ranging from feasibility studies through detailed
design/detailing to Contract administration and site supervision
encompassing the following types of work:-
- Highways (both for adoption and private use), external pavings, service yards, car parks, etc.
- Sewerage (both for adoption and private
use), including trunk sewers, pcc box culverts, pipe jacking,
mini-tunnels, pumping stations, flood storage ponds/ tanks and flow
attenuation/flood defense works, Flood Risk Assessment.
- Earthworks, retaining walls, sheet piling
- Short span bridges and other highway structures

involved us in remediation of contaminated land, including disused gas
works, pollution from industrial processing plant and landfill sites,

Midlands, Staffordshire and North Lancashire.

appointments have been directly with the “Employer” of construction
works. In recent years, however, we have been engaged on Design &
Construct contracts where we join with the appointed Contractor, either
by novation from the Employer or directly in competitive tender with
the Contractor. Increasingly our work with Housing Associations and
others is undertaken a Partnering basis.
Practice has gained considerable experience and reputation in the
provision of expert advice in litigation relating to Civil and
Structural Engineering disputes. Such expertise has ranged from
investigation of structural failures leading to insurance claims and/or
litigation to attendance at Public Inquiries dealing with contentious
development schemes generally and, in particular, traffic related

able to offer to our Clients a full range of Planning Supervisor
services. We have gained extensive experience in this role for
construction scheme values in the range £0.5 - 20 million.
