Based in Tamworth Staffordshire, Boomerang Plastics are recycling contaminated plastic packaging such as used yogurt pots and waste contaminated with food residue including throw away cups and cutlery. They will also be taking non food products including shampoo bottles and other containers used by the cosmetic industry, horticultural and agricultural plastics, such as seed trays, plant pots and other rigid plastics, including wheelie bins and pipes. It is expected that this list will grow rapidly as the company develops. Boomerang are anxious to prove that there are benefits to manufacturers keeping their waste here in the UK rather than shipping waste abroad and intend to demonstrate that there are alternatives to allowing other economies to benefit from what we have failed to utilise.
An added facet to Boomerang Plastics is that they will be utilising recycling machinery provided by parent company Summit Systems Recycling Machinery and in this way will be a showcase for the capabilities of the equipment which can provide to organisations wishing to take on the recycling of their own waste.
