Did you know that European Automation now delivers hard to find, obsolete and new components to 106 countries around the world, including remote locations?

On top of which, European Automation has now delivered to every postcode in the UK barring particularly remote areas like GY for Guernsey, IM for Isle of Man, PH for Perth in Scotland, KY for Kirkcaldy in Fife and ZE for Lerwick in the Shetland Islands – in short to every industrialised region of the UK.

We have also invested substantially in warehousing and distribution facilities at our Stoke on Trent premises and last year we launched a premium nine-hour delivery service to anywhere in Europe, the result of European Automation’s ultra-lean warehousing system, extensive supplier network and far reaching logistics network.

At European Automation, we recognise that a manufacturing plant may not necessarily be in the same location, or even the same country, as the purchasing team or manufacturing director. Our global network of preferred partner warehouses enables us to offer the fastest premium delivery service in the industry.

I have written in a previous blog how AAM Polska for example, the Polish subsidiary of American Axle & Manufacturing, approached us with an urgent request for a Rockwell Automation Allen Bradley servo motor. They didn’t expect the order to be fulfilled in less than a day but we achieved the objective. Now European Automation is recognised as an official global supplier to the worldwide AAM group.

Having recently celebrated our fourth birthday, we now employ more than 50 people at our Staffordshire Technology Park offices. European Automation’s multi-national, multi-lingual teams cover Europe, Scandinavia, North & South America and the Middle East, and are fully committed to delivering unrivalled customer support and service.

European Automation distributes parts and equipment manufactured by globally recognised names such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB, Fanuc, Schneider Electric, Danfoss, Indramat and Guardmaster.

Obtaining replacements and spare parts is becoming a significant issue in industry, with many automation companies adopting a product development lifecycle that sees new products introduced regularly. Often new versions of an inverter, for instance, are launched every twelve months.

For instance, a company like Siemens upgrades its inverters and motors each year but latter models are not always backwards compatible with earlier models. If a customer wants to buy a model from three years ago, Siemens might not have stock any more.

Through our Deutsche Automation division we can supply some products 10-15 percent cheaper than buying direct from Siemens, even for new equipment and particularly in the UK.

So unless you’re in the Outer Hebrides islands of Scotland, you can rest assured that we’ve got you covered.

To repair or to replace – is that the question?

A reader of European Automation blog asks “Does the 'repair rather than replace' option indicates short term, recession-led thinking?”
