Blue Cedar Print works
art, photo, photos
In order to turn your artwork into a print we need a digital image. You can of course provide your own photo, but it isn't easy: The image will need to be evenly lit; in focus and perfectly aligned in order for the photo to be taken, and the photo of course needs to look like the original.
We have a large format camera which is set up especially for taking photos of paintings. We use a Betterlight scanning back, in fact we are one of only two studios in the UK featured on the Betterlight website. The scanning back means that an image is taken without interpolation (which is what normal digital cameras do), so we get the true RGB readings and thus a better rendition of the image on a camera that is the equivalent of 56 megapixels.
For watercolours and drawing we also have an A3 Fine Art scanner.
Once the image is captured, it can then be printed, placed in the online gallery (if required) and/or released to you.
