Lynx Trussed Rafters manufacture and supply a range of engineered timber products including:, , .
METAL WEB JOISTS
Metal web floor beams are an “OPEN” web floor product that utilise
the combined benefits of lightweight kiln dried stress graded timber
chords with the stiffness of a metal web construction.
These qualities combine to provide a high strength, lightweight floor
beam that is engineered to precise dimensions in short or continuous
lengths that provide the facility for fast and easy installation of
services such as pipes, cabling trunking and ducts. The long lengths
and wide joist widths improve the quality and speed of both floor
decking and plasterboard ceilings, making this a very desirable floor
system for both domestic and commercial applications. Open web beams can
also be used as rafters to form wide, open plan attic space, or they
can be designed as a stressed floor diaphragm as part of our space frame
SOLID WEB I-JOISTS
Our closed web I-Joist systems offer an economic and extremely rigid
alternative to solid timber. They are up to half the weight of solid
timber and can be used for longer spans at roof or floor level. Systems
are fully engineered at our office and components cut to length as part
of a complete floor package including solid blocking, noggins,
restraint straps, carpenters metalwork and decking.
Engineered Wood I-Beams can be used as rafters to form wide, open
plan attic space, or they can be designed as a stressed floor diaphragm
as part of our space frame platform roof system.
OPEN TIMBER WEB JOISTS
The System 42 FloorTrus™ system provides many of
the benefits of the metal web system with the added advantages of
infinitely adjustable joist depth options. All timbers are on the
“flat” giving a wide width to facilitate fast and easy installation of
joists, decking and ceilings but because all of the internal webs are
specifically cut to length this system allows joists to be manufactured
to any specified depth and like the metal web systems the use of kiln
dried and stress graded chords reduces shrinkage to a minimum. The
nature of theFloorTrus™ system also means
the system enjoys the added benefit of being able to design many
different bearing details and web patterns. These features together
with the capability of designing into beams “trimmable” ends, make FloorTrus™ the most flexible of all the engineered floor beam systems currently available. FloorTrus™
has been sound tested and fire tested by the BRE for both 30 minutes
and 60 minutes (report numbers 231884, 230795 and 230475 respectively).
FloorTrus™ beams can be used as rafters to form
wide, open plan attic space, or they can be designed as a stressed floor
diaphragm as part of our space frame platform roof system.
