Rockford IT is delighted to announce it has been shortlisted for Best Green Business in the 2009 Shropshire Business Awards. This award seeks to reward companies that realise their responsibility to help protect the environment and take a proactive approach to eco-friendly issues; factors which Rockford IT thoroughly deliver, and in which it has demonstrated to overcome tough competition and be shortlisted for this category.
The Shropshire Business Awards, now in its ninth year and established itself as the biggest event on the county’s corporate calendar, gives companies within the region the chance to celebrate their achievements. Criteria taken into account for the “Best Green Business” award included evidence of clear environmental policies, promotion of an environmentally-aware culture among the workforce, and cost and efficiency savings from reduced waste and energy use, all of which Rockford delivers exceptionally. Rockford IT’s Managing Director, Tom Sykes, comments this news; “We are thoroughly delighted with being shortlisted, and it is great that our hard work towards achieving a greener environment has been recognised.”
Just some of Rockford’s environmentally friendly features include its energy efficient data centre and its use of virtual servers, a rigorous paperless policy within the office, as well as its ‘green’ service offerings for its customers.
