Wooden Spoon Making Weekend with MARTIN HAZELL

Come along to this 2 day workshop with expert wood carver, Martin Hazell, and on the first day, learn skills with axes and knives that you will use to make a simple cooking spoon. On the second day Martin will introduce more ideas of the shape and form of spoons, and you can try scoops and small ladles or eating spoons
Martin will supply the specialist tools involved and will also bring along a small number of tools for sale for those of you who are keen to carry on with the craft. For inspiration and ideas he will also have a small collection of spoons from various parts of the world. Martin will also bring the wood to ensure it is suitable for spoon making and there will be a small charge for this.
This inspiring location, in the beautiful Shropshire Hills, will encourage you to get to grips with this wonderful and ancient woodcraft and you should have at least 2 finished spoons to take home with you, maybe even more!
Cost of Weekend: £120includes home-cooked lunches, plus refreshments during the day. There will be a small charge for materials used. Numbers restricted to 8 so book early to ensure a place. Please book by 13 April
