Even with Government cut-backs, there are still significant grant funding opportunities, with money available from a wide range of sources.
The Technology Strategy Board (TSB) offers “Grants for Research and Development” for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), which can support market research, proof-of-concept and development of prototypes. This funding is available for all UK SMEs and can provide a maximum of £250,000.
The TSB also offers funding for collaborative projects, where a consortium of UK companies come together to jointly develop a solution targeted at a themed area. These themed areas which are announced throughout the year, include topics such as; “assisted living” and “electric vehicles” and focus on key social and economic drivers for the UK.
Funding for collaborative projects is also available from the European Union's 7th Framework Programme (FP7), with significant funds for pan-European partnerships.
There is also grant funding available from other UK bodies such as WRAP, The Carbon Trust, DEFRA etc. So tell us what it is you want to do and we’ll let you know what support is out there.
Whether you’re a start-up or an established business looking to take the next step, we can help you to raise private investment. This could be an introduction to an appropriate investor through to building the investor pack and delivering the pitch on your behalf. Our network have invested significant funds in a wide range of companies through private equity, venture capital and EIS funding.
