3D Survey and CAD modelling services are aimed at the following clients:
Naval Architects: We can supply accurate 3D IGES surface models or structural models from laser scan data for stability, "as built" record drawings or a starting point for redesign.
Ship yards: 3D Laser surveying provides quick and simple checking of dimensions across an entire vessel. It can be used for monitoring, dimensional control and reducing risk during major re modelling of a vessel.
Ship surveyors: We can record hulls, superstructures, tank spaces or machinery compartments quickly and with minimum requirement for access. The scan data can be used to model complex spaces, calcultate tank volumes, carry out interference checks on proposed machinery and be converted in to accurate 2D CAD plans for record.
Boat manufacturers: 3D scanning allows closing of the loop between design and hand built molds / plugs. Using 3D Laser scanning technology allows us to compare millions of points across a plug to the original design model, showing areas of unfairness providing certainty for ongoing CAd design.
Hull fairing: Maps can be produced showing areas of unfairness on hulls, reducing weight and labour in fairing.
