Employment Skills This type of training and development activity focuses on different employment policies i.e. disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance capability. A typical session IamHR might deliver focusing on the disciplinary process for managers will involve the following: Breaking down the organisation’s policy so it can be discussed, understood and later applied in different situations; developing understanding of the context of disciplinary matters in legislation and best practice; practising different skills through role play activities designed to build managers confidence; and templates and tools to take away to utilise later as a refresher and confidence builder. IamHR can deliver this on a one to one or group basis. While the fundamentals of investigations will be the core of the programme, as with all of our activities the delivery can be tailored to the preferred style and ethos of your organisation. A typical programme may focus on the core skills required of an investigating officer; the key aspects of approaching investigations; procedural steps to follow in investigations; how to solve typical problems that may arise in investigations; practising different skills through role play activities designed to build confidence, templates; and tools to take away to utilise later as a refresher and confidence builder. Individual and Team Development This type of training and development activity can be designed in a bespoke way in line with what the organisation wishes to achieve as principle outcomes of the activity. Examples include confidence building, conflict management, mediation, coaching, team building and delivering effective presentations. Neuro Linguistic Programming at Work A specific programme IamHR have designed to develop an understanding of the main principles of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and how they can be applied to the workplace to enhance business, relationships and performance.
