Wickes are using Posters in Transit vans to help gain increased awareness for the recently opened store.
The campaign will use vans that are owned and driven by tradesmen operating in the store’s catchment area.
Wickes are running a three month campaign with two creative treatments promoting key ‘price match promise’
and ‘next day delivery’ offers. Wickes Lichfield Merchandise Manager, Gurdeep Chumber, says “these two messages
are directed at our target trade customers and position Wickes as a strong competitor for trade business in the area.
By using tradesmen’s vans we can easily reach the store’s targeted trade audience, especially on a local level, as well as
communicating with a general DIY audience.”
Posters are applied to the rear door panels of clean, unsigned, white and light silver vans. Charles Endacott, Managing
Director of Posters in Transit, added “ The positioning of our posters is in direct line of sight of other road users, drivers
and passengers, as well as pedestrians in areas where there is slower moving traffic and this maximises the impact
of the medium. With tradesmen visiting the same range of suppliers, work locations, breakfast and lunch venues and
being on the road at the same general travel times to and from work, the Wickes messages will be seen by this key
Wickes audience within the local catchment area.”
