Freeland Orchestra is a friendly adult orchestra who meet fortnightly in the village of Freeland near Eynsham, Oxfordshire. Freeland Orchestra has members from Witney, Eynsham, Oxford and several surrounding villages. Players need to be at least Grade 5 standard though there are no auditions. Freeland Orchestra gives two concerts a year, one in December, the other in July, and tries to play a wide variety of music from Classical composers like Handel and Mozart, through to film themes. New members are always welcome.
Wendy Marks, the conductor of FreelandOrchestra, also takes WOW (West Oxfordshire Winds) which caters for wind players of all ages, from grade 1 to Grade 5 standard. Again there are no auditions and new members are very welcome.
