 It is all about fashion in Oxford at the moment.  From 28th Feb it is the Oxford Fashion Week with events taking place all over the city.  Judy Berger brings her Affordable Vintage Fair to Oxford Town Hall on Sat 26th March and Oxford's Antique Centre, Antiques on High is celebrating these events with a special window display. Vibrant and colourful vintage clothing and Japanese kimono and surrounded by a selection of antique and modern jewellery with turquoise and orange as the key colours . As well as  brooches, earrings, bangles, bracelets, necklaces and beads there are American 1950s and 1960s handbags with hand embellished designs. For  gentlemen there are hats, leather cases, and walking sticks and canes. Amongst these find a variety of books about fashion, iconic designers and even some lovely old magazines from the 1920s.
The photo shows a Vintage American handmade handbag of generous proportions.  It is made from a black linen weave fabric adorned with a selection of luscious fruits in soft velvet applique, priced at £125 this is a 'one of a kind' vintage handbag dating from the late 1950s to early 1960s.
