All of our Portable Appliance Testing is carried out and in accordance with the latest IEE guidelines and requirements. We would advise that our strict controls and business practices of portable appliance testing are the yardstick by which you should compare other companies who do not adhere to the IEE guidelines.

Our PAT Testing methods are as follows:

  • Every Plug is opened
  • Every Fuse is checked
  • Every Terminal Is tightened
  • Every Clamp is tightened
  • Every Chord is checked
  • Every Appliance is safety checked
  • Every Appliance is Polarity Tested
  • Every Appliance is tested for Earth Resistance
  • Every Appliance is tested for its Function and Load
  • Every Appliance is tested for its Insulation resistance
  • All Appliance results are Recorded and these records kept for 7 years
  • We show all fault history for all appliances
  • We use only the latest IEE regulation and compliant labels

We keep comprehensive records of all of our work to enable us to maintain portable appliance testing schedules with the minimum of fuss and disruption.

We liaise with on-site managers and or the duty holders to ensure that they are advised of all faults found to allow for the repair or replacement of the appliance at that time. We understand that budgets have to be maintained and worked to, and by regular communication we feel this puts the site manager or duty holder in full control of their portable appliance testing requirements.
