Accuride International’s UK-based design centre has used its expertise in designing sliding systems for movement and access to bring to market an innovative mechanical lift. Although the Lift-0019 is primarily for TV or computer screens up to 450mm tall, it has the versatility to lift anything between 2.5 and 6.5kg.   The lift allows screens to be hidden and secured when not in use and keeps work surfaces free of clutter until the screen is needed. A light push down on the top of the support column and the lift rises easily in less than 2 seconds. The slim and easy-to-fit design makes it ideal for multi-purpose desks in environments such as education, libraries, conference rooms, motor homes, banks, shops and in the home.   Manually operated, the push-to-lift mechanism is controlled by adding or subtracting weights, giving an effortless and controlled movement, both up and down. The support column has flexible fixing points, an integrated ±112.5° swivel and cable management.   The lift comes with one set of weights and installs quickly and easily using the fixing hardware supplied. Additional weight packs can be bought to accommodate lighter weights. Fixed or tilt VESA brackets are also available separately.   Forget the usual computer or TV lift applications and the possibilities become even more interesting. Accuride is already working on several projects to use the lift for individual work tables in auditoriums and for access to power supplies in classrooms.  Accuride manufactures telescopic slides for a variety of applications and has manufacturing locations worldwide, each governed by a quality management system registered to ISO 9001.
