Each year, the months of April, May and June are an important and very busy time for all payroll professionals.
As a reminder, we are publishing a payroll timetable for the next 2 months.
9th May – register now if you are intending to file your 2011 Employer Annual Return online.
19th May – cheque payments for the month ending 5th May should reach your Accounts Office by this date. You will also need to file your Employer Annual Return (P35 and P14s) by this date. If you are exempt from the requirement to file your Employer Annual return online, your paper return must reach your HMRC office by 19 May. HMRC will charge penalties on forms received after this date and sent on paper.
20th May – electronic payments for month ending 5th May should have cleared into the HMRC bank account by this date
31st May – the last date for giving each relevant employee a P60 form Early June- if you have an Approved Share Scheme and Employment-related Securities, HMRC recommends you finalise the completion of your 2010-11 annual returns Form 34, Form 35, Form 39, Form 40 and Form 42. This is to ensure it is received before 6th July 2011.
17th June – cheque payments for month ending 5th June should reach your Accounts Office by this date.
22nd June- electronic payments for month ending 5th June should have cleared into the HMRC bank account by this date.*
