Supply & Installation of 33kva Standby Generator at Pennine House, Leeds Project Type: To supply, install and commission a enclosed standby generator and ducting system for the exhaust fumes. Location: Pennine House, Leeds Project completion time: 10 days (from contract date) Application: Lift (Standby Application) Originally the client asked for a 22kva standby diesel generator to be installed at Pennine House Leeds, to be used as emergency power to a lift. However when we arrived to perform a quotation on site we noticed there was poor ventilation/extraction for the exhaust fumes. So we suggested to the client that we provide a x2 duct system which consisted of x2 extractor fans. One of the ducts would be used for the generator fumes and the other was for clean air to come in. So we suggested to the customer that they would need a 33kva standby generator this would be sufficient to power the lift as well as the 2 extractor fans required (due to poor ventilation/extraction) from the immediate generator start up. Going for a larger generator has the added bonus that it will not have to work close to its maximum power for the long periods of time hence putting less pressure on the engine. We fitted the generator with the following additional requirements: Water jacket heater Battery charger 70L Oil spillage kit Full 80L fuel tank as per requirements of the customer and the advise of our technical engineer. After we finished the final test and QC at our warehouse we delivered the generator to site, when the generator arrived at site the professional team took the generator off the truck using crane and put it in the building in situ. We then fitted the generator to the floor once it was in situ, then we provided a empty load test on the machine. The duct system took approximately 3 days to manufacture and install at site. Finally the final stage was the commissioning, our technical engineers performed a Inspect and tested every operational component of the project. This was a great project that we were involved in and the whole team at CPS performed like a well oiled machine.
