17th Edition - Update (City & Guilds 2382-20) Evening Class in Hull
The 17th Edition update course is aimed at practicing electricians with a working knowledge of the 16th Edition BS7671: and have already achieved the qualification which addresses BS7671. (See qualification as listed below).
The update course is for anyone holding one or more of the following certificates:
· City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:June 2001
· City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electro-technical Technology Installation (Building and
Structures) (2330-07) or;
· City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electro-technical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08)
· City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation Part Two (2360) from January 1st 2004
The course objectives are to cover changes from the 16th to the 17th Edition of the regulations, including; Scope, Object and Fundamental Requirements for Safety, Definitions and Use of the Regulations, Assessment of General Characteristics, Protection for Safety Selection and Erection of Equipment, Special Locations and Inspection Testing.
It is intended to ensure candidates are conversant with the format, content and application of the current edition of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 (17th Edition).
This course is predominantly theory dealing with Regulations. It contains no practical aspects. Candidates are advised that extensive home study is an essential course requirement, to assist candidates, the use of examination simulators are available on demand.
A one hour multiple choice, open book City & Guilds ‘on-line’ examination will need to be taken immediately following the completion of the study period, the exams may be taken in Hull or at Brigg
