Hypnotherapy is a tried, tested and effective way of bringing about deep-seated and long-lasting psychological changes in a relatively short period of time.

The process is very safe when used by a competent hypnotherapist and can produce remarkable results.  I have removed long term phobias in 2 or 3 consultations, stopped patients smoking, allowed them to come to terms with loss through a death or marriage breakup and helped with many other problems. I could give many examples of the way I have changed patients' lives in a way they never thought possible.

For many people, the idea of hypnotherapy may be a bit alien and many doubt its effectiveness. To be fair, I was well through my training before my scientific mind started to accept that it changed people in a profound way. Even now,  after seeing hudreds of patients, I get still get that 'wow!' feeling when a dramatic change comes over a patient.

EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) is an non-trance technique that allows the treatment of a variety of problems, most notably Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). A person with PTSD will suffer a variety of symptoms such as flashbacks or avoidance behaviour all of which interfere with normal functioning. Many people think that it is something they need to live with, but they don't! Military, Fire, Police and Ambulance/Medical staff may all experience this in their day to day work. Accidents and medical procedures can produce PTSD; ro quote one of my patients who had a pituitary tumour removed "they fixed my body but they didn't fix me". The words, "This happened to me and I [feel this] [avoid that] but I {am getting] [have got]over  it" generally tell me that they haven't and would benefit from treatment.

As a Clinical Hypnotherapist trained in EMDR I am in a position to offer a broad, powerful and flexible therapy to best meet each patient's individual needs by combining therapies as appropriate.
