Bowen Technique is suitable and safe for babies and children. Many childhood conditions respond well such as allergies, asthma, bedwetting, colic, eczema, glue ear, growing pains, headaches and stomach pains.
Bowen can also help with emotional and behavioural problems and is beneficial for children who have a disability such as cerebral palsy, ADHD, or dyspraxia.
All treatments are performed through light clothing and the parent stays with
their child during the treatment.
The Bowen Technique is named after Tom Bowen who developed the technique in
the 1950s in Australia. It is a remedial light touch therapy that is applied using a
rolling motion with thumbs and fingers which stimulate the muscles and soft
tissue of the body. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue and no
force is used.
