Prevent-IT! OFFICE SAFETY Hazard and Risk Identification (HARI) develops staff’s understanding of risk potential in their working environment and motivates them to take appropriate precautions. It includes a concise self assessment questionnaire which records health and safety hazards and produces date and time-stamped results.

HARI’s interactive training encourages staff to use their powers of observation to stop risks developing. They learn to identify workplace hazards which can affect everyone, what to do for themselves and for colleagues and when to ask for support in relation to:

-       the electrical supply, heaters and other fire hazards

-       obstacles to free movement

-       personal medical issues

-       reaching, lifting and moving

-       slip and trip hazards

-       unshielded lighting

-       ventilation

Intranet versions also include the Prevent-IT! Results Management System. This helps make compliance activity focused and responsive by prioritising and tracking the resolution of issues organisation-wide and by department. It provides an audit trail of the follow-up from each assessment.
