Contact hours are defined as time spent with a tutor or trainer, or during the assessment. Unit 1 - Working in the Private Security Industry 25-question multiple-choice examination paper. Successful candidates must achieve a score of at least 18 out of 25 Examination duration – 40 minutes Guided learning hours for this unit are 10 hours Unit 2 - Working as a Door Supervisor 40-question multiple-choice examination paper. Successful candidates must achieve a score of at least 28 out of 40 Examination duration – 1 hour Guided learning hours for this unit are 10 hours Unit 3 – Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry 25-question multiple-choice examination paper. Successful candidates must achieve a score of at least 28 out of 40 Examination duration – 40 minutes Guided learning hours for this unit are 8 hours Unit 4 –Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry This Unit is Assed in Two (2) Parts. Successful Part One (1) is a Practical test and Part Two (2) is a Written test set by the Awarding Body Ongoing practical assessment throughout the course by the tutor Rest assured that during Physical Intervention Training, you will always have at least 1 trained and experienced Level 3 Physical Intervention Trainer per 12 Candidates. Course Entry Requirements: This award is a compulsory regulatory requirement as specified by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for those wishing to work as a SIA Licensed Door Supervisors. You must be over 18 years of age. As the roles and duties of a SIA Licensed Door Supervisor are predominantly a Customer Service Role and one that demands of the job is the ability to communicate well, especially during conflict situations.
