Divers have begun a search Rosapenna Golf Club in Donegal, Northern Ireland, for gutta percha balls once belonging to Old Tom Morris. Morris, who won the Open four times in the 1860s, was one of the first professionals to use this type of ball when the “feathery” went out of fashion. The club believe the balls could be some of the world’s rarest, having been lying at the bottom of one of the county’s deepest lakes for 120 years.
