At Portland Investigations Limited, our Process Servers respond quickly to Clients instructions to serve legal documents anywhere in the UK.

We have a specialist instruction website set up at where you can book a Process Serve online, so that we can schedule in the service of your legal documents, which means that in most instances, the first visit takes place within a 24 hours of receipt of the documents.

We also offer a pre-payment service for our Process Servers, whereby you may opt to pay at the time of instruction and benefit from a 20% reduction in our fees, paying just £100 + VAT instead of £125 + VAT.

You can either pre-pay by cheque or by bank transfer.  For the latter, please contact us for details.

For Process Serving, our standard payment terms are 21 days if not using our pre-pay service.

At the conclusion of the Service of your legal documents, you will receive a full report detailing the Process Serve, a sworn Affidavit in the correct format, and our Invoice, which will either state PAID for your records if using our pre-pay service, or give you 21 days in which to make full payment, per our standard terms and conditions.

Unlike many of our competitors, the fee quoted is the fee you pay.  We do not add on extras for travel, or affidavit preparation or swear fees*

Our Process Servers operate within the law and we always attend well presented, as we recognise that our appearance and behaviour is a reflection on you.   All Process Servers are trained in conflict resolution, so that there is no confrontation when serving your legal documents.

*In the event that a Notary Public is required to swear the Affidavit a charge, at cost, will be made and can range between £65 and £175 depending on the location of the Notary and Process Server.  Unfortunately, Notary Publics are not governed by the Law Society and therefore are allowed to charge whatever they believe reasonable, without regulation.
